L&rsquo;article d\u00e9crit l&rsquo;utilisation d&rsquo;une puissante m\u00e9thode d&rsquo;\u00e9valuation non destructive appel\u00e9e technique des ultrasons non lin\u00e9aires (NUT), combin\u00e9e aux ultrasons laser. La NUT est connue pour son efficacit\u00e9 dans la d\u00e9tection pr\u00e9coce des changements microstructuraux dans les mat\u00e9riaux, tels que le vieillissement thermique, les dommages dus \u00e0 la fatigue et le fluage. Il permet d&rsquo;examiner les joints de grains, les pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9s de seconde phase, les inclusions et la densit\u00e9 des dislocations, ce qui n&rsquo;est pas possible avec la technique ultrasonique lin\u00e9aire conventionnelle utilisant la vitesse et l&rsquo;att\u00e9nuation des ultrasons. Il s&rsquo;agit de mesurer le comportement non lin\u00e9aire des ondes ultrasonores lorsqu&rsquo;elles traversent un mat\u00e9riau. La m\u00e9thode la plus r\u00e9pandue pour mesurer ce comportement non lin\u00e9aire est la m\u00e9thode de d\u00e9tection pi\u00e9zo\u00e9lectrique, qui n\u00e9cessite un bon contact m\u00e9canique avec le mat\u00e9riau et peut \u00eatre difficile \u00e0 calibrer.<\/p>\n<p>Cette \u00e9tude de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe du Dr Seong-Hyun Park propose une nouvelle m\u00e9thode non destructive utilisant un syst\u00e8me de d\u00e9tection laser-ultrasons, bas\u00e9 sur un interf\u00e9rom\u00e8tre laser avec un cristal photor\u00e9fractif, pour mesurer le comportement non lin\u00e9aire des ondes ultrasoniques dans le mat\u00e9riau. La m\u00e9thode est valid\u00e9e en mesurant le param\u00e8tre de non-lin\u00e9arit\u00e9 \u03b2 pour des \u00e9chantillons de cuivre et d&rsquo;Al6061-T6.
