Il donne \u00e9galement un bon aper\u00e7u des diff\u00e9rentes applications, bien que les figures et les images puissent \u00eatre un peu d\u00e9pass\u00e9es. Depuis la publication de cet article, plusieurs de ces applications se sont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9es. La mesure en ligne de l&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur des parois est d\u00e9sormais un capteur standard pour les aci\u00e9ries. Certaines applications ont toutefois eu plus de difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre accept\u00e9es par l&rsquo;industrie. L&rsquo;inspection des mat\u00e9riaux composites pour l&rsquo;industrie a\u00e9rospatiale n&rsquo;a malheureusement pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 totalement adopt\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>Il existe, bien s\u00fbr, d&rsquo;autres documents sur ce sujet, tels que les articles fondamentaux sur la d\u00e9tection optique des ultrasons, comme ceux de J.P. Monchalin, IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control, vol 33, Issue 4, p. 485-499l 1986, et de James Wagner, Ultrasonic Measurement Methods, Academic Press, 1990, ainsi que l&rsquo;ouvrage de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00ab Laser Ultrasons Techniques and Applications \u00bb de C.B Scruby et L.E Drain. Ces ouvrages ne sont toutefois pas librement accessibles sur l&rsquo;internet et nous pr\u00e9f\u00e9rons nous concentrer sur les documents librement disponibles.<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, je tiens \u00e0 pr\u00e9ciser que le Dr Monchalin \u00e9tait mon patron lorsque j&rsquo;\u00e9tais au Conseil national de la recherche du Canada. C&rsquo;est sous sa direction que j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur les ultrasons laser, il y a plus de 30 ans. Il se peut donc que j&rsquo;aie un pr\u00e9jug\u00e9 favorable \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard de l&rsquo;article de M.
